CyberSunshine is committed to providing back to our community, as we know REALTORS® are, and we take pride in helping organizations in need of assistance through technology within our community.
As a custom real estate web design company we pride ourselves on giving back to the community by making charitable donations to deserving organizations as well as community sponsorships of local youth soccer, baseball and water skiing leagues. Our emphasis on family and community is what keeps the foundation of our company strong.
A local Florida organization that is particularly close to our heart is the Animal Refuge Center of Fort Myers, FL. A no-kill shelter, this organization focuses on the rescue and care for unwanted and abandoned animals. For information on this shelter, or other no-kill shelters in your area, please see below.
Helping animals in need and organizations that assist those animals holds a special place in our hearts. Five years ago we recognized the Animal Refuge Center of Ft. Myers- an organization in our area that needed help getting the word out about their no-kill animal shelter and getting more animals adopted.
We felt that an effective online presence would not only help them get the word out about their organization, but also help get more animals adopted, as well as educate the public about the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. So we donated a complete, professionally designed web site with a wealth of information, including upcoming ARC events, projects, donation locations and programs, as well as a way for people to offer their time in the volunteer section. Packed with admin tools that allow them to make frequent updates to the site, their web site has become a vital tool for the people at ARC.
"The web-site is now our primary vehicle for adoptions. We found over time that the web was pulling people to our sanctuary just as much or even more efficiently then doing off-site adoptions days. It is advantageous to ARC to draw people to the actual sanctuary where they can get a true feel for what we are and how our facility is so unique in this area.
There is no doubt however that our web has increased the following
- Volunteer database by at least 200 volunteers
- Newsletter distribution list by around 1000 a year
- Attracts adoptions on average 300 a year.
- Creates a wider circle of adoptors from local to country wide. We had one adoptor come in from Colorado!! We now see consistent adoptors from Sarasota, Tampa, Miami, Orlando. Without the web these people would not even know we are here
- Attracts auction sponsors from as far away as Las Vegas! Last year we raised 35K in sponsorships in part because one of the benefits at the high level is a link to our web-site.
- Increases our donor base with online donations averaging 10-20K a year. Increases our pop up box appeal response to emergency care by thousands of dollars. Our capital campaign raised $121,000 and was updated monthly on the web for almost a year. There is great potential here to hook the web into an email database which we are trying to figure out.......if Obama can win a primary through the web we are missing the boat on this one somehow! This number may be higher........I am just approximating the Paypal dollars.
- The virtual tour section has attracted estate bequests ranging in the millions. This is one of the top modules and inspires people to come and visit. The virtual tour prompts them to do estate planning for their pets. In fact I am meeting some from Sarasota this weekend who is bequeathing ARC $100,000 along with an agreement to house her 9 cats when she passes away.
- All our 50-70 dogs have Kuranda beds because of the web promotion and link to Kuranda. This is a very popular donation tool.
This web-site gets compliments from other states! I know a lot has to do with our phenomenal photographs but if we did not have a web-site.......well there would be nothing to post the photos to.
Our web communications average 100-120 a week regarding adoptions, newsletters, help with a pet, spay neuter assistance, estate planning, tours, volunteering, general information."
